WhatsApp Calls - Whats is it?

WhatsApp Calling lets your WhatsApp API line receive incoming voice calls from end users, directly through WhatsApp.

This feature is not available for Coexistence accounts — for those, incoming calls go to the linked personal WhatsApp app instead, so this feature doesn't apply.

Once enabled, a call icon appears at the top of the chat for end users on that WhatsApp line. When they tap it, the call is routed to the SIP trunk address you provide — connecting directly to your own call center system or PBX, where you can implement IVR, call forwarding, or any routing logic you choose.

To enable this feature for your WhatsApp acount — please contact support first.

Once enabled, you can configure and manage your line through the /setCall endpoint.
